ergoCentric’s Founder and CEO Terry Cassaday Elected to BIFMA Board of Directors

Mississauga, Ontario – February 25th , 2022, ergoCentric Inc., Canada’s leading ergonomic seating manufacturer, is pleased to announce the election of Founder and CEO Terry Cassaday to the Board of Directors for the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA).

Terry brings to the Board over 30 years of experience in manufacturing ergonomic seating for office, specialty and healthcare environments. He is instrumental in designing the company’s extensive line of ergonomic seating systems and to date he has over 20 patents and patents pending. Terry is a member of the Technical Committee that developed CSA Z412-17 Office ergonomics – an application standard for workplace ergonomics.

“I am honoured to be elected to BIFMA’s Board of Directors,” says Terry Cassaday. “I look forward to lending my voice to the organization that establishes engineering and performance standards for the commercial furniture industry.”

BIFMA President & CEO, Deirdre Jimenez, welcomed the election of Cassaday to the board. “Terry will bring both a US and Canadian perspective to the association as we embark on growing our membership in both countries. ergoCentric has been active in the association, devoting talent and expertise in the development of a new ANSI/BIFMA Ergonomic standard currently in development.”

BIFMA is the not‐for-profit trade association for business and institutional furniture manufacturers. Since 1973, BIFMA has been the voice of the commercial furniture industry.
