Discussion: the role human factors play in diversity and inclusion

Last week we were happy to host the panel discussion about the role human factors design plays in corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives. The panel was moderated by Jane Sleeth of Optimal Performance, who was joined by Ricardo Wagner, Accessibility Lead at Microsoft, Dr. Mike Sonne, VP Research at MyAbilities, and Marcia O’Connor, President at AMFM Consulting.

The discussion was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders ranging from Ergonomists, Interior and Industrial Designers, Human Resources Managers, Facilities Managers to members of the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

ergoCentric focuses on physical diversity, only one part of the greater discussion that delivered on how we must take human factors into consideration if we are to create truly inclusive workspaces where everyone feels valued and is allowed to be the best they can be.
